Measurement Guide

Accurate measurements are important when choosing a formal dress, special occasion dress, bridesmaid dress, or mother of the bride dress. Please follow this guide carefully before placing your order.

For the most accurate measurements, we recommend asking someone to help you. Stand naturally, keep the measuring tape flat and level, and avoid pulling it too tightly.

What You Need

• A soft measuring tape
• A mirror
• Fitted clothing or light undergarments
• The shoes, or a similar heel height, you plan to wear with the dress
• A helper, if possible

Important Measuring Tips

• Measure over fitted clothing or undergarments.
• Do not measure over bulky clothing.
• Keep the measuring tape flat and level.
• Do not pull the measuring tape too tightly.
• Stand naturally with your feet together.
• Take each measurement at least twice to confirm accuracy.
• Record measurements exactly rather than adjusting them yourself.
• For standard sizing, always compare your measurements with the VETALISE Size Chart before selecting a size.

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust.

Keep the measuring tape straight across your back and level around your body.

The tape should sit comfortably against your body without being pulled too tightly.

Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist.

This is generally above the belly button and below the rib cage.

Keep the measuring tape comfortable and level.

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

Stand with your feet together and keep the measuring tape level around your body.

Hollow to Floor

Measure from the hollow at the base of your neck straight down to the floor.

Stand upright with your feet together.

This measurement is especially important for floor-length dresses.

Height

Measure from the top of your head to the floor while standing straight without shoes.

Do not include heel height in this measurement.

Heel Height

Measure the height of the shoes you plan to wear with your dress.

If you have not selected your shoes yet, please provide your expected heel height as accurately as possible.

Custom Size Orders

Custom sizing may be available for selected dresses.

If you choose Custom Size, please provide all requested measurements carefully. These may include:

• Bust
• Waist
• Hips
• Hollow to Floor
• Height
• Heel Height
• Event Date

Please double-check all submitted measurements before placing your order.

Custom-size items are prepared according to the measurements submitted with the order. Because these items are made or adjusted specifically for the customer, they are generally not eligible for return or exchange once production or customization has begun, except in cases involving an incorrect, defective, or damaged item caused by our error, or where otherwise required by applicable law.

Please note that custom sizing is based on the measurements you provide. Depending on body proportions, dress construction, fabric, and personal fit preference, additional alterations may still be needed after receiving your dress.

Event Date

If you need your dress for a specific event date, please provide your event date when placing your order.

Providing an event date helps us understand your timeline, but does not guarantee delivery by that date.

Most VETALISE dresses are prepared or made to order, with standard tailoring and preparation taking approximately 3–6 business days after your order and payment have been confirmed.

Custom sizing, custom colors, personalized details, alterations, or other special requests may require additional preparation or production time.

For time-sensitive orders, please contact us before placing your order so we can help you review the estimated tailoring and delivery timeline.

Standard Size Selection Advice

Please do not select a size based only on your usual everyday clothing size. Formal dress sizing may differ from regular clothing.

Compare your measurements carefully with the VETALISE Size Chart.

If your bust, waist, and hip measurements correspond to different standard sizes, consider the largest relevant measurement when selecting your size.

Professional alterations may be needed to achieve your preferred fit.

Color, Fit & Fabric Notes

Product colors may appear slightly different depending on screen settings, lighting, photography, fabric characteristics, production batches, and display differences.

Fit may vary depending on fabric, dress construction, lining, stretch, silhouette, and individual body proportions.

Small measurement variations may occur due to manual measurement and garment construction.
